Leigh Street Wine Room

Can we BYO?

Unfortunately not but don’t worry we have a wine wall of over 400+ natural wines!  One of our sommeliers can help you find something you’ll love.

Can we take away bottles of wine?

If you’re dining with us you can take 2 bottles away with you and if you’re totally obsessed with the wines you can place an order through our sister site www.juicetraders.com.au where we can pack the order and deliver to you.

Is there a public holiday surcharge?

There is a 10% surcharge on any given public holiday.

What about credit surcharges?

We use Tyro so any charges are applied before you transact and the fee depends on the card you use. It’s super transparent.

Do you cater to allergies?

We only have a small kitchen and therefore a small menu. We specialise in house cured meats, offal, pastas, seafood and meat dishes.  Whilst our menu changes regularly vegetarians, pescetarians, nut or dairy allergies can normally find things on our menu to suit their dietary needs. We’re unfortunately not suitable for vegan / fodmap dietries.
If you’re looking to go onto our chefs selection – be sure to advise of any allergies at the time of booking so that we can confirm if the chefs selection menu is suitable.

What are your sittings for bookings?

We open Wednesday & Thursday from 5pm til late, Friday & Saturday from 12pm til late and Sundays 1pm til late. Bookings can be made through the night for dinner and come with a 2 hour sitting. If you are making a later reservation from 8pm onwards there is no time cap.
We will hold tables for 15 mins however if you have not notified us that you are running late we may give away your table. We’re a super small restaurant with limited seating so it’s important you give us a buzz if anything comes up.
We also accept walk-ins! We get pretty busy at times and we may not have a spot free but people come and go all the time so normally the wait isn’t too long.

Do you take group bookings?

Absolutely! For groups of 5+ you will need to go onto our Chefs Selection option.

What are the seating options at LSWR?

We have bar seating (super comfy) and its not all in one straight line. The ends of our bar loop around so you can still be face to face with your mates.
We also have classic restaurant dining room. Both the bar and the dining room are within the same space, on the ground floor under our much talked about arched ceiling.
On Fridays and other busy nights we open our mezzanine area which is communal seating across two large tables. This room looks over the downstairs bar/dining area.

Do you have a private dining / function room?

We sure do! Our mezzanine can be booked for exclusive use any night that we’re open. It comfortably holds 24 people for a sit down dining experience across 2 tables.
You’ll need to email us a wine@leighstreetwineroom.com to find out the price / minimum spend as it alters depending on the date and needs.

Do you do gift vouchers?

YES! Email us at wine@leighstreetwineroom.com  or call 0498 765 855
